This area shows some Before and After pictures of problems we come across during our paint projects.

A lot of people think that painting is easy as putting it on the walls, but this is not the case. All areas must be prepped, and all defects addressed first; this is very time-consuming particularly when there is a lot of prep work involved. But to get the best results, it is important to carry out all the steps to ensure a beautiful finish.

This particular wall had been previously stripped of paper by the customer and chunks of plasterboard and backing had also been removed, leaving a rough uneven texture. We sanded back as much as possible and applied lining paper on top, this allowed a smoother look for the new paper.

Often, we come across problems with badly stained rooms due to nicotine. This is something we also tackle.

We would wash the walls and ceilings first, once this is dry a good stain block will then be used. Once covered and allowed good time to dry a number of coats of paint can be applied.

This job was a very difficult one, we removed the existing wallpaper and as you can see from the photos during its process, the walls were very bad underneath.
The customer did not want the walls replastered, so we knew we had our work cut out, there were a lot of deep cracks, holes, uneven surfaces and previous filling in. A lot of prep work was involved.

Once we attended to all of the defects, with a lot of sanding the walls were ready for painting.
